Description for SFA Recreational Trails
The trail system is the result of volunteer effort and professional consultation from "Talon Trails." Over eight miles of trails are encompassed in just over 30 acres. The trails are primarily advanced with a few expert level sections.
Directions to SFA Recreational Trails Trailhead
Parking is available at the asphalt parking lot at Starr and N. University. You can follow the pavement of the ADA trail to where it connects with "Creekside" or you can ride to the main entrance at the intersection of E. College and N. University. Signage will be available soon.

The trail system has quite a lot of features packed into a limited space, however you hardly see the other trails until you reach an intersection. These trails were created with the intermediate rider in mind. If riders on the beginner level want to ride trails there are plenty of options around campus as well as a multitude of paved trails to help build their stamina up. These trails have steep climbs, rooty sections, tight and twisty routes, smooth and flowy singletrack, jumps, berms, wooden features, and even a bowl. The trail system has not had its official opening as of this date (3/22/10), but it will soon. For riders wanting a greater technical challenge with variation then these trails are definitaly worth a closer look. Just stop by The Bike Shop on E. College St. and ask them for info on the trails. They'll be more than happy to help.
