Description for Lake Ride
Ride along a water reclamation area few know about. On my rides I've seen Turkey, Bald Eagle, good fishing, and tons of other wildlife. Miles of trails along beautiful waterfront.
Directions to Lake Ride Trailhead
Doesn't show up on Google Earth but there is a half finished neighborhood with space to park your car and ride. Trail starts behind a retirement home at Washington Forks in New Bern. The people at the home don't mind if you cut through their field to get to the trails they're very nice, they actally encourage it, gives them someone to talk to. Get driving directions to Bosch Blvd since the neighborhood doesn't show up since it is new. The neighborhood is right down the road about a quarter mile. Latitude/Longitude on Google Earth for the trail start/end is N 35 08 36.65 W 077 05 57.18. I'll see you there.
