Description for Stone State Park
Fast and fun. Not especially technical, but not for the faint of heart. Good climbs and downhills on mostly doublewide trails.
Directions to Stone State Park Trailhead
Park at East entrance (at the end of Memorial Drive from Stone Park Blvd). There are a couple ways in. 1. There is a trail head there to the "one minute mile" that will take you quickly to the bottom. Follow the trail across the street and climb out. 2. Ride South from the lot on Talbot. The trail head is about a quarter mile on the right.

Hello All
This was my hometown ride while growing up, then I moved around and ended up in Denver,Co, where there is plenty of great riding to use for comparison. My favorite thing about Stone park is the soil ya ride on. The Loess Silt is super fun and fast, with no rocks you'll pedal to the last minute before you have to hit the breaks. You could easily spend a good few hours on this ride and not get lost. The park roads could also provide some good steep climbs and decents too. Gotta watch out for the horse turds though.
If you happend to be in the neighborhood, its worth your time to check it out.
Cheers
Benny
