Description for FDR Park
This place is by far the best in Dubuque and probably the midwest. With over 20 miles of trails, ranging in difficulty from gravel roads to log piles and 10' drops, this place has it all. Its not Colorado, but its pretty darn close for being here in the midwest. Its a must ride.
Directions to FDR Park Trailhead
Take the unmarked gravel road past the Childrens Zoo. Park at the gate at the end of the gravel. Do not go past the gate even if it is open. It is a private remote control airplane club entrance. Get on the bike, ride arond the gate, and the trails begin almost immedeatly. All trails eventually end up on the service road at some point, so you probably won't get lost if you just keep pushing ahead, but if you want to get off in the middle of a trail, good luck.

This is a very technical group of trails built on the site of a former campground and prior to that a lead mine area. There are about 10 -15 miles of trails in varying difficulty levels. Very excellent trails with a very dedicated crew to maintain the trails during the year.
Only five minutes out of town.Great trails!!!!!
