Description for Greenhorn Gulch
Greenhorn Gulch near Mountain Home Idaho is a great trail. It is about 1700 feet vertical climb over five miles at the beginning and then a fun, non-technical bombing downhill. I remember the climb to be kind of a grunt, especially the switchbacks near the end, but the downhill was worth it. I would recommend riding the trail clockwise, but you can do it both ways. I wouldn't recommend this trail for beginners. The ride takes about 2-3 hours. There are also some other great trails in the area; Adams Gulch, Oregon Gulch, Chocolate Gulch. I highly recommend riding Greenhorn Gulch mountain bike trails, tons of fun.
Directions to Greenhorn Gulch Trailhead
Greenhorn Gulch mountain bike trail is approximately two miles south of Ketchum turn on Greenhorn Gulch road, across from the fire station on highway 75. The trailhead parking is about 2 more miles.
