Dauset Trails Nature Center in Jackson Georgia has excellent riding for any skill level of mountain biker. You can ride the Dauset Trails in any direction and you can get very creative in how you put the trails together for some very interesting loops. These trails really are great for beginners or the more advanced riders. There isn’t anything real technical but the faster you ride the more technical it gets. Dauset Trails Nature Center has many river crossings. This is a beautiful area and the scenery is unreal.
Directions to Dauset Trails Nature Center Trailhead
To get to the Dauset Trails from the Atlanta area take I-75 south to Exit 201 (Jackson/Barnesville). Turn left on Hwy 36 towards Jackson. Go a couple miles to "High Falls Road". There will be signs for Dauset, High Falls, Indian Springs, and Ridgeway Christmas Tree Farm. Take a right at "High Falls Rd". Pass Ridgeway Christmas Tree Farm on the right. About 2 miles after watch for our sign and take "Mt. Vernon Ch. Rd" on left. Dauset Trails is located 3.3 miles on left. 360 Mt. Vernon Rd. If you are coming from Griffin area on Hwy 16, cross I-75 before taking High Falls Road. There are several High Falls Roads in the area.
