Description for Blankets Creek
The Blankets Creek Mountain Bike Trails is the top rated mountain bike trail near Atlanta Georgia. These are by far the most popular trails near Atlanta. The Blankets Creek Trail system consists of 10 miles of trails. There are 3 major loops; an easy beginner loop that is just over 1 mile long, a more difficult intermediate loop almost 4 miles long and a much more advanced loop that is just over 4 miles. I highly recommend the ledge overview sections with beautiful panoramic views of the lake. There are some great technical sections and a small bit of climbing. There are quite a few switchbacks but nothing that is very technical. You can really fly on these trails; just get in a groove and cruise, a great workout close to town. If you ride Blankets Creek Mountain Bike trails be sure to leave a donation, this is how the trails are maintained. Ride it don’t slide it.
