It seems to me that function is following form in the latest MTB trends. Narrow straight bars. I asked about bar ends when I bought my bike and the guy seemed to sneer at the idea. All I know is I can climb a heck of a lot better if I can pull with my bicepts and not just my back and neck meat and tricepts as you do with a straight bar. Right off, I know I wand a good riser bar With ENDS!
Hey Singlespeed, what kind of bars are on your setup. That's what I'm looking for. |

Those are the Titec H-Bars. They are knock offs of the Jeff Jones H bar (http://www.jonesbikes.com/h-bar.html). I think I ordered them from PricePoint.com, http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/16092-195_TITHH7-3-Parts-62-Handlebars/Mountain/Titec-H-Bar.htm
I really like them. They worked really well on my single speed where I needed to be pulling a lot on the bars as I would grind up steep hills. They would allow me to pull with much more of my back muscles then my arm muscles. |
