If you want a simple inexpensive pedal I would check out the Crank Brothers Egg Beaters. They are light, inexpensive, easy to clip in to, shed mud well. You can get sets for as low as $40. They have sets with and without platforms for a more stable feel. They seem to get a very high rating on mtbr.com. |

I recently purchased the Time ATAC XS Carbon MTN Clipless Pedals from PricePoint for $150. I absolutly love them. They are a very solid pedal. When you clip in you know you are in, no doubt about it. They have a distinct, solid click. The float is perfect, not too much not too little.
While I have only ridden about 200 miles on them, I highly reccommend them. I have a friend who has an older model, maybe 10 years old, and he swears my them. A very good pedal. |

You can get the low end Speedplay road pedals for under $100 on Ebay. The cleats, however, get a little pricey ($30-60). If you can get a deal on the pedals with the cleats, you're GOLDEN! |
