Description for Myakahatchee Enviromental Park
Park is not in Punta Gorda. It is in North Port, Sarasota County off Tropicaire Blvd. The park is maintained by county and volunteers. The main trail works its way through the center of the park and loops back to origination or picks up other trails that loop back or exit the park to other off park riding areas but they may be shared with motobikes. No motorized vehicles are allowed on trails within the park but you may encounter equestrians.
Mostly flat with an occasional gully and sugar sand. Each trail is what you make it. Could see some critters along the way. Deer, pigs and other small animals are residents. Could be good for a family ride or an all out burn. Your choice.
Directions to Myakahatchee Enviromental Park Trailhead
Start from parking area to locator signboard in the picnic area. There are at least four separate trails that are marked with colored posts.
