Description for Oleta River State Park
Oleta River Stat Park has some great mountain biking. Just north of Miami Florida, the Oleta River runs into the Biscayne Bay. In-between the river and Biscayne Bay is the Oleta River State Park. Oleta River State Park has over 10 miles of mountain bike trails. The Oleta River State Park mountain bike trails are found in the heart of the Miami Metropolitan area. There is approximately a mile of fun technical singletrack (plenty of rocks, roots and trees to keep you on your toes), ½ mile of singletrack for intermediates, around 3 miles of beginner singletrack. There is also two miles of paved pathway for those non-knobby tires or roller blades. Oleta trails can be ridden as an out-and-back or create numerous loops for hours of mountain bike riding. Be sure to also check out Markham Park, and Amelia Earhart Park.
Along the Oleta River, at the north part, a large set of beautiful mangrove forest conserves native South Florida plants and wildlife. Canoeists and kayakers are able to paddle the river to discover this astounding natural region. Swimming from the beach and saltwater fishing are also well-liked activities. Picnic tables and grills are accessible. 9 pavilions can be rented for a charge. All have water, and the largest one has power. Visitors can rent kayaks, canoes, and mountain bicycles. For overnight visits, the recreational area has rustic, air-conditioned cabins and a youth campground for prearranged groups.

Oleta River State Park is located at 3400 North East 163rd Street, off I-95 in North Miami. To get to Oleta River Moutain Bike Trails take I-95 to 163rd street East to Oleta River. Just before the inter-coastal on the south side of the street.
