Description for White Ranch Belcher Hill Loop
Start at the parking lot and ride through the creek bed for a short time. After that you hit the famous Belcher Hill climb. This climb is rocky, long and steep. It's best to have a geared bike but it can be done on a SS if you feel up to the burn. At the top you can loop around on many different trails and old fire roads. This ride can be very hot in the summer but up in the trees it really cools down. On the way down, watch your speeds because you can really get moving.
Directions to White Ranch Belcher Hill Loop Trailhead
Take Colorado Highway 93 north from Golden 1.7 miles to west 56th Avenue. Turn left (west) on Pine Ridge Road and travel about 1 mile to the east parking lot.

I made the mistake of climbing whippletree and longhorn to the top not recommended. The rawhide loop is best when done clockwise and is a lot of fun. The water bars and wall rocks make this technical and hard I give it a 4 out of 5 for technical difficulty. Good luck cleaning the sand and rock garden at the bottom without leaving some paint behind.
