Description for Old Fort Ord Ride
The former Fort Ord, where the army used to train is now BLM land, and you can ride on trails where soldiers used to run. This ride in particular peaks in a location where you can see Impossible City, a place where the FBI still trains. It's a neat little mini city of gray buildings where you can witness an occassional mini mock battle.
Directions to Old Fort Ord Ride Trailhead
Have fun, and stay on the marked trails...this area was previously littered with live land mines and the DoD is periodically removing them in large areas. Some of this land still borders government land, so follow all the signs and have fun!

This is a great ride without huge climbs but nice swoopy single track as well as a few great overlooks. There is even a little rock section that gives brief reminders of desert riding. Have fun.
