Description for Sweetwater Reservoir
If you are looking for a good mountain bike workout in south San Diego, Sweetwater Reservoir Mountain Bike Trails is your spot. The Sweetwater trails offer a combination of fun technical single track and double track along the beautiful Sweetwater Reservoir. There is good up and down single track through fields and hills. The area is relatively flat but you can still get a good workout and there are plenty of trails to add on the miles. There are numerous benches along the trail to stop and take a break or fix a flat tire. When you mountain bike Sweetwater San Diego you can always find some great locations to take in the view of the lake. It gets hot out here in the summer so be sure to bring plenty of water. There is no water along the trail. There is camping at the beginning of the trails, 63 campsites with full RV hookups, playgrounds, picnic areas. If you like to mountain bike Sweetwater San Diego please ride the trails, take some pictures and upload. We would love to have some more reviews for Sweetwater.
Directions to Sweetwater Reservoir Trailhead
To get to the Sweetwater Reservoir trails take 805 south. Take exit 9 to merge onto CA-54 E. Take exit 5 for Briarwood Rd. Turn right onto Briarwood Rd. Turn left onto Sweetwater Rd. Turn right onto S17/Bonita Rd. Turn left onto San Miguel Rd. Turn left onto Camp Ground Rd. Camp Ground Rd turns right and becomes Summit Meadow Rd.
