Description for Anderson Truck Trail
Anderson Truck Trail is an 8-11 mile out and back trail. It is 5 miles of climbing and then 5 miles of white knuckle downhill. The views of El Capitan Reservoir are amazing. This ride is a downhillers dream, I could tell by the amount of armor I saw passing me on my way up. The top of Anderson Truck Trail named World Cup trail is full of drops, ledges, jumps, burms, twist, and turns. Yes, I had to walk down/around a few of the sections. It is amazing what some people will do. I think a lot of people shuttle, but the climb is not that bad. The bottom 3 miles is relatively smooth. On the climb up Anderson Truck Trail there are only about 5 spots where you need to jump on the front of your saddle and really crank. At the bottom of World Cup, just after the large dirt patch, stay left and climb the dirt road, you will eventually come to the top of the trail and then hang on and go big. If you are looking for a good mountain bike climb or a crazy downhill stunt show Anderson Truck Trail near Alpine/San Diego is the ride for you.

The climb is certainly a grind. It is well worth it when you are on the way down.
