Description for Beatty Dearing
Somewhat technical. Lots of short climps and descents. Shady! Not too many hikers. Will need to dismount to cross a creek unless maybe you're Hans Rey. If you continue up the fire road at then end of the cul-de-sac at Iredale, you will go to treepeople and if you ride past that, there is a single track trail through Wilacre Park that goes parallel to Maxwell fire road (most people call this Fryman Canyon fire road). It's pretty fun too but watch for hikers, and there's another one that starts where this one ends (on the other side of Maxwell, it's called "whitefence" for some long torn down while fence) and goes down to Shadey Oak Road. String all that together and you have a nice ride.
Directions to Beatty Dearing Trailhead
This ride is off Mullholland between Laural and Coldwater. More precisely, the trail head is in the little park between Allenwood and Laruel Pass. Start down the fire road and about 50 yards down take a sharp left.
