Description for Llama Loop
Llama trail is a fun 2-4 hour loop. It is not too difficult, easy compared to Broken Arrow. A great trail to use in conjunction with Cathedral, or Broken Arrow. Take Bell Rock Pathway to Llama trail, north about 3 miles to Little Horse, West back to Bell Rock Pathway and then back to the trialhead.
Directions to Llama Loop Trailhead
To get to Llama trialhead from Phoenix head north on 17 towards Sedona. Exit 179 to Sedona. Trailhead is about 8 miles on the right, after Bell Rock Blvd. and a Circle K. From Flagstaff just head south on 89 to 179 and then to the same parking lot. You can also come down 17 and then up 179, I never know which is faster, I guess it just matters what kind of mood you are in.

This was a fun ride when I had very little time to fit a ride in. It takes about 20 minutes to ride Bell Rock Pathway to Little Horse Trail, which leads you to Llama loop. I rode Llama North to South. It was a great mix of fast flowy single track with sections of slick rock and short rocky climbs. Traction in Sedona is abundant on the hard packed red clay. When you cross the slick rock look to your right for the trail exit points.
