Description for Broken Arrow
Broken Arrow Trail in Sedona, AZ is a tough trail that will test your technical abilities to their fullest. Lots of short steep climbs and descents in and out of washes. Boulders, baby heads, slickrock, drops, etc. Broken Arrow trail is unshaded and can be hot in summer. Begin at the signed trailhead which will direct you across the jeep road to the trail. After 200 feet, the trail bears left (south) and soon crosses a ledge at the foot of Battlement Mesa. At .6 miles, look for the fence around Devil's Dining Room Sinkhole 100 feet to the left and downhill. At Chicken Point enjoy some amazing views. From here take Little Horse Trail west to Bell Rock Pathway. A little street riding north to Mystic Trail and then back to the trailhead. Parking pass required ($5): Available at pay station, ranger office, or Circle K store in Village of Oak Creek. If you are looking for a Sedona mountain bike trial that has it all Broken Arrow Trail is it. It is also a great trail to combine with Llama trail or Cathedral Rock Loop.
Directions to Broken Arrow Trailhead
Take Morgan Rd. east off Highway 179, look for the Broken Arrow sign. Morgan Rd. becomes a Jeep trail. Begin at the signed trailhead which will direct you across the jeep road to the trail.
