Phoenix Mountain Bike Trails and Reviews
Phoenix is this place for year round mountain biking. I bet you can ride a mountain bike 364 days a year in Phoenix. It gets pretty hot in the summer but if you go early all is good. The Phoenix mountain bike trails are hard packed, crushed rock, exposed rocks, and numerous wash crossings, typical desert riding. Watch out for the cactus, I highly recommend some slime tubes when mountain biking in Phoenix. The Desert Classic trail, Trail 100, and Pemberton Trail are some of the most famous Phoenix mountain bike trails. The Desert Classi trail is a flat out and back trail on the south side of South Mountain. It is a beautiful trail that is relatively easy. There is quite a bit short up and down sections but not any huge climbs. There are other difficult trails in the area like National Trail. The Pemberton Trail is a great 15 mile loop in the McDowell Mountain Regional Park, north of Fountain Hills. I don’t know much about Trail 100, but I have heard good things about the trail. Have fun, drink plenty of water, watch out for cactus, and ride it don't slide it!
